Arizona Storage Auctions

We're doing an amazing auction on February 20, 2010 in the West Valley........Nothnagel Farm Goodyear (Phoenix), Arizona.

Many Antique/Vintage Tractors, plows, many tractor parts, old farming implements and old advertising stuff, signs...a few neon signs, household items, alot of whats here potentially great for resale as some of whats here, vintage tractor parts and old engines and parts are real hard to find. At least 2 motorcycles, refrigerators and much more.

Worth the trip out just to see some of this stuff as it would be like taking a journey back in time:

If this is your first visit to this website please read whats on this page and Frequently Asked Questions Bookmark this page and check back the night before or morning OF the day's auctions that interest you. Late adjustments to the schedule are rare, but they can occur.

We do the day's first auction at the time shown, then we do the rest. To auction storage units, its legally required that a start time be set at each location. Auctions at locations after the first site may start later than whats shown but never earlier.

We conduct Storage Unit Auctions    in:

and

For the Storage facilities that we auction for, Auctions are always a last resort; they lose money on them and only hold them after taking multiple steps toward a resolution. It's better for both the storage site and the tenant if something can be worked out, no business can stay afloat if it gives away its product. Being forced to resort to auctioning a unit is similar to an apartment eviction in that it is the last resort, following multiple attempts to broker a resolution.

Number of units auctioned can prove to be less than whats reflected on the schedule for two reasons which are both beyond the control of Universal Auctions and the people working at the storage facilities:

1. People pay the past due balance on their unit right at closing time the night before or even just prior to the auction itself.

2. The legally required process to auction a unit is a complex and tedious procedure requiring paperwork, deadlines that have to be met, publishing notices and mailing notifications. Any number of things can go wrong, even a simple "typo" in paperwork can derail the legal auction of a unit.

If you have any doubts at all that the process which Arizona Law requires be followed to auction a Storage Unit is....shall we say....."involved"......look at the relevant Arizona Statutes by clicking on the next picture.

(if you click links on this page use your browser's back button to get back)

I do everything possible to accurately represent #'s of units that will be sold at each location. Events which I have no control over can lead to less units being sold.

As mentioned above and reiterated here because its important that auction attendees understand how the schedule works:

To sell a delinquent storage unit the law also requires that a start time to the sale must be declared.

The first auction on a given day begins at the time shown or shortly thereafter. When that location is done the auction team moves on to the next location and so on until all of that day's auctions are completed.

Its impossible to know exact start times
after the first location due to travel time and time required to do the previous auctions.

Actual start times at each location will allow bidders, if they desire, to "follow" from one auction site to the next.

This is usually what people do so that they can have the largest selection of units to bid on.

Beyond that first start time the listed times are there because the law requires a start time be declared .

Our Storage Auctions are like a "traveling" or mobile auction...one storage facility to the next, until they are all done.

ABC15 TV News Reporter Christina Boomer visited one of our March 2009
auctions along with a Cameraman and together they produced an excellent
report on Storage Auctions and how these relate to our current economic
     situation in Arizona......

Bring padlock(s) to secure your unit(s)

Thats your stuff in there, it belongs to you!!
Come prepared to secure your stuff by bringing padlock(s)!!

And please return any Birth Certificates, Family Photos and other personal belongings that you find in a unit to the Storage facility staff. Its very important that this be done and very easily accomplished. As you go through your unit, sorting things out, whether that be at the storage facility or later on, somewhere else......just please have a special box set off to the side and when you happen across personal stuff place it in the box then give the box to the staff at the storage site.

Storage unit Auctions are immensely exciting. We hope to see you at our auctions for many years to come.

"Treasures" are routinely found by auction attendees. Storage auctions are, in essence, that......Treasure Hunts that do not require you digging in the ground, diving into the ocean, climbing the dangerous Superstition Mountains to uncover gold that no one is really sure is there or not and that the federal government has claimed as "theirs" anyway (as if.) or putting on an eye patch and training a parrot to sit on your shoulder so that you can conquest vessels at sea.

Join us and share in the adventure!!
